WABO® Factory Trained Applicator - Building/Architectural and Car park systems For this reason, when installing Building and Car parking WABO® products, this must be completed by a Factory Trained Applicator (FTA). A FTA is an installer who has completed an extensive, 4 day course in USA that WABO® hold once a year. These installers learn the specific functions, manufacturers recommended installation procedures, and best practice methods to ensure they are well equipped to tackle most common installation using the WABO® range of products. In this training they complete both theory and practical training, and are required to pass a exam at the end of the course. BAS Expansion Joints (NZ) maintain a list of New Zealand based applicators who have successfully completed this course, and have become a WABO® FTA accredited installer. Some of these items are bridge bearings, expansion joints of all sizes, bridge suspension cables, seismic damping devices/lock-up devices (LUD) and a full range of construction chemical products. We run in house training specific to the product and project requirements as needed. To be an accredited BAS applicator within this market, you will need to at a minimum, have been in the market for 5 years+, have a dedicated, skilled crew with demonstrated ability to install the relevant products and have been trained directly by a BAS Expansion Joints (NZ) trainer.
